Radio Seeds – Investigations into Plant Knowledge in Armenia
Exciting things can happen when you write to a fellow researcher on open platforms. In 2024 I dropped a line to Susanne Fehlings, a social anthropologist at the Goethe University in Frankfurt/Main. At that time I was preparing Datscha Radio’s mission in Armenia, and I came across her essay The Transformation of Green Zones in Yerevan, Armenia.
But it was not before this year that we came together, and therefore I am highly pleased about her invitation to join her group of researchers in order to present our papers and perspectives at the ASIAC conference in Venice this December.
ASIAC promotes knowledge exchange on Central Asia and the Caucasus. The association is targeted at scholars, universities, and other cultural institutions, and promotes meetings among researchers and the coordination of research activities on Central Asia and the Caucasus.
There is more to learn about this Caucasus-centred conference & Datscha Radio in due course. For now, I simply say that I feel happy & honored and curious. The title above is the title of my presentation.
