Sound Art & Radio

Ms Schaffner works with field recordings that are assembled into radiophonic compositions. Next to these, her enthusiasm is shed on the creation of speculative music genres and their documentary-style insertion into the canon of contemporary music. Almost all of her soundscape compositions and cut-ups connect the listeners to specific locations. She also writes and directs radio plays, receiving numerous merits by doing so . Other activities include installations, video work or workshops – often in combination with performances and/or the use of transmission devices.
